Travel Information
“Haus Rissen” is located in the West of Hamburg, near the “S- Bahn” -station “Blankenese”. Hamburg has excellent transport links with other European cities. Arrival by Train
Arrival: Hamburg Hauptbahnhof (main station)
Once you have arrived at Hamburg main station, go to the “S-Bahn”- station in the main building, platform number 1. Here, you take the S1 towards Blankenese/ Wedel. The S1 leaves every 10 minutes from the main station. Please get off the train at the stop called “Blankenese”. Outside the station of “Blankenese” you will find the bus number 189 towards “Wedel”. Take this bus and get off at the stop called “Haus Rissen”. It will only be a four minutes bus ride. You also have the possibility to take a taxi from “Blankenese” station to “Haus Rissen”. To call a Taxi you can ring the following number: (0 40) 86 06 02.
Arrival by Airplane
Arrival: Hamburg Airport
The airport is located near the city centre in the North West of Hamburg.
Once you have arrived at the Airport you can take the Airport Express Bus towards Hamburg Hauptbahnhof (main station). The bus trip will take about 30 to 45 minutes.
At Hamburg main station please take the S-Bahn from platform number 1 towards Blankenese/ Wedel and get off the train at the stop called “Blankenese”. If you prefer to go straight from the Airport to the conference you can take a taxi from Hamburg Airport to “Haus Rissen”, which shouldn’t take more than 30 to 60 minutes depending on the traffic. The taxi ride costs approximately 35,- Euro, depending on the duration of the ride.
