Overview

RECWOWE (Reconciling work and welfare in Europe) is a Network of Excellence funded by the European Commission (FP6). It brings together researchers from 29 partner universities and research institutions from 17 countries in Europe (see RECWOWE).

Summer schools, workshops for doctoral researchers and short-term scientific missions are key training activities of RECWOWE and an important component of the network’s ‘spreading of excellence’ activities. Held at several partner institutions across the RECWOWE network between 2007 and 2011 all training events are prepared and coordinated by TAC, the network’s Training Activity Centre, located at the University of Edinburgh (School of Social and Political Studies).

TAC is directed by Professor Jochen Clasen (Edinburgh University; jochen.clasen@ed.ac.uk) and Assistant Professor Anil Duman (Central European University, Budapest; dumana@ceu.hu).
