In Social Policy our research carries out independent, critical, high quality research on social and public policy issues in Scotland, the UK, Europe and globally. Our themes include Children & Families, Education, Health & Well-being, Labour Markets & Welfare, Socio-legal & Civic Matters.

Our Social Policy research groups: Global Public Health, Policy and Governance, Work, Economy and Welfare, The Centre for Research on Families and Relationships, Discourse Analysis, and the Social Network Analysis Project.

In our work in Social Policy we attempt to achieve the following aims: carry out independent, critical, high quality research on social and public policy issues in Scotland, the UK, Europe and globally.

Active funded research projects with a particular focus on cross-national and comparative social policy analysis.
