Section: Research Groups
The research group on Work, Economy and Welfare explores the relationship between trends in modern welfare states, resource allocation and changing labour markets. Group members work focuses on both the political and institutional drivers of policy development and on social outcomes. Much of the work conducted is cross-national and/or comparative in nature. The group has been strongly involved in RECWOWE, the EU Network of Excellence on Reconciling Work and Welfare in Europe.
Staff members of the group include: Jochen Clasen, Daniel Clegg, Elke Heins, Neil Fraser, Stephan Koppe, Richard Parry, Adrian Sinfield and Alison Koslowski.
Doctoral researchers include: Hayley Bennett, Richard Brodie, Tom Emmery, Alexander Goerne, Dan Heap, Evgeniya Plotnikova, Martin Pullinger and Hannah Zagel.
