Seminars and Events

A cornerstone of a thriving research environment is the opportunity for discussion and debate. External speakers, as well as staff members, bring their work to the Social Policy Seminars throughout semesters 1 & 2. Research students have the opportunity to present their work at the Doctoral Seminar Series. Further seminars are occasionally presented by the subject area's research groups. Two prestigious lectures, the Seth Lecture and the Northern Scholars Lecture, also bring key academics in our field to Edinburgh during the year.
