Qualifications
Working Title
Construction of early childhood and preschool provisioning in India.
By using social constrcutionist approach and ethonographic data, I am trying to investigate the perceptions of different duty bearers such as parents, care workers and teachers on early childhood, and also children's own constructions in the early childhood settings, and what all these findings suggest on the matters relating to childcare provisioning in Tamil Nadu (a state), India.

Besides childhood and child rights, I have got very keen interest on topics related to globalisation and public health.
Awards/Achievements
Professional Experience
Prior to joing PhD I worked with UNDP as a UNV Project Officer at Planning Commission, New Delhi, at Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF-B) as a Psycho Social Supervisor in the post tsunami relief and rehabilation work, and with few local and national bodies as a qualified social worker.
