Qualifications

After studying sociology at Perm State University in Russia, she did an MA in Sociology at the University of Manchester and the Moscow School of Social and Economic Sciences (2006) and an MA in Labour Policies and Globalization at the University of Kassel and the Berlin School of Economics (2007). Evegeniya Plotnikova has just been awarded the Drucker Scholarship.

The Role of Bilateral Labout Agreements in the British Policy for Ethical Recruitment of Foreign Nurses in 2000-2006

Research Interests

She has worked as a researcher at the Centre for Social Partnership and Sociological Research in Perm on projects related to the issues of labour relations in Post-Soviet Russia, social partnership, unemployment and health care reform in Russia.  She has also worked at the Institute for Comparative Labour Studies in Moscow, where she was involved in the international projects on post socialist trade unions and the restructuring of management in Russian enterprises.  This year she did an internship at the International Institute for Labour Studies at the International Labour Organisation (ILO) in Geneva, where she was involved in a project on the establishment of cross-border social dialogue and the strategies of trade unions and multinational companies.

Her research interests include cross-border mobility of health professionals, policy tool approach and soft regulation.
